WOW! So anyway . . .

Has it really been that long since I have updated this thing? Woah, I suck.

We played in Columbus this past weekend and I have more bad Columbus news. It seems as if every time we go there something happens. Here's the story:

We dropped our stuff off at Little Brother's (a bar) and walked down the street to get some grub. We ate at this pizza place called Papa Joe's and I thought it was pretty good by the way. While we were eating, we saw 3 fire trucks zoom down the street going the direction of the bar. No big deal right? After I finished eating I decided to go outside and smoke and also to see if the trucks were anywhere near. Lo and behold they were down near the bar. I knocked on the window and told Kelly, Gloria and Rhonda what was going on. Well, I along with Christine, Rhonda and Kelly took off running down the street. It's hard to run when you're wearing Doc Martins. It looked like black smoke was coming out of the top of the bar. Was it on fire?????? No. The building next door was. It was a small apartment fire that was put out in a matter of 20 minutes (I guess because the building wasn't engulfed in flames) and the funny thing is no one in the bar seemed to mind that there was a fire next door. Everyone, which consisted of like 15 people, was still in the bar going about their business. So after everyone else finally met up with us we went inside and started drinking beer and just laughed and laughed as we played the name game.

The night ended up running like an hour behind because the sound guy got there really late. We were supposed to play at 9:15 and didn't start until almost 11. The line up got shuffled twice and one band ended up leaving because they were going to be playing so late. I think it all ended around 2 a.m., I don't remember.

So there is our second tragic Columbus trip. Floods, power loss, police running with guns drawn and fire; who knows what it'll be next.

Over and out.

I'm still here

Ok, I know the last post says some pics are coming but I haven't had a chance to go through the pics to put up. I have pics from last weekend that I want to put up too but obviously I haven't done that either. I am a bad blogger, a very bad blogger. I apologize to being a slacker.

Columbus update

Ok, we were supposed to play at Club 202 Saturday night but as Lindsay Mac was playing, a huge storm rolled in and out went the electricity. By the way, Lindsay Mac kicks ass so check out her website, www.lindsaymac.com. Leigh (a friend of ours) almost had the ceiling fall on her head in another part of the bar. Real safe huh? The rain comes pouring in and so does the ceiling. Amidst the chaos (well it really wasn't chaotic but it was really f-in hot), the monsoon, and no electricity, there were 2 telephone poles snapped outside. Ok, they weren't snapped all the way but they were close. To make a long story longer, we didn't play.

Now on Sunday, a group of us had gone to brunch at Union Station. Christine and I were sitting at seats in the window and we see a cop across the street walking then running then he pulls out his gun as he's running. What the f you ask? We look at the corner and there are like 5 cops with their guns drawn on a guy on the ground. I think he had tried to steal something and wouldn't stop when they told him to. They cuffed him and off he went. What a morning!

After that, we went shopping and headed home. Even though we never got to do our show, it was still fun and I'm sure it will be hard to top this Pride.

By the way . . .

I've been a bad blogger lately. I haven't been keeping up with my blog like I should. Sorry.

Columbus Pride

We arrived around 1 p.m. We have been smoking in a non-smoking room and got in trouble for it. Apparently the whole hotel is non-smoking . . . who knew?? So who knows what will happen later on tonight. We have to play at Club 202 tonight and then we can have lot's o' fun afterward. Whoo hoo! We'll probably come back to the room (the non-smoking room) and go to sleep. Shopping tomorrow and we head for home.

Technology weekend

Whoo hoo! I am watching cable and playing with technology (high speed internet) and it is nice. Thanks Amy and Gloria for letting us come over and keep your cat company!

Big pool party as well this weekend at the cribs house in J-town! Rhonda and Ruby are watching Julie's crib this weekend so we are gonna be over there later on this weekend swimming. I will most definately get a sunburn. It doesn't matter how much sunblock I put on, I will get a sunburn. So goes the price for having bright white skin. I also don't really care too much about tanning - don't want to be a leather bag when I get older.

So I talked to a few people who have some good high school pics so when I get them, I will be posting some new ones. I have a few I could put up of myself but I don't want to do that. I just want to embarrass everyone else. Heh heh.

So that is all for now! Sees youse guys later.

There it is . . .

A condensed version of the roadtrip. I took almost 200 pics but thanks to my digital camera I didn't have to develop anything. A few of the pics got mixed up but I am sure you can make sense of them all. You're smart.

RBR Records

Here it is on the corner of Delaware.

Hello Ani!

We found the new home of Righteous Babe Records! I, along with Kelly, became weak in the knees. It was right down the street from our hotel.
