Columbus update

Ok, we were supposed to play at Club 202 Saturday night but as Lindsay Mac was playing, a huge storm rolled in and out went the electricity. By the way, Lindsay Mac kicks ass so check out her website, www.lindsaymac.com. Leigh (a friend of ours) almost had the ceiling fall on her head in another part of the bar. Real safe huh? The rain comes pouring in and so does the ceiling. Amidst the chaos (well it really wasn't chaotic but it was really f-in hot), the monsoon, and no electricity, there were 2 telephone poles snapped outside. Ok, they weren't snapped all the way but they were close. To make a long story longer, we didn't play.

Now on Sunday, a group of us had gone to brunch at Union Station. Christine and I were sitting at seats in the window and we see a cop across the street walking then running then he pulls out his gun as he's running. What the f you ask? We look at the corner and there are like 5 cops with their guns drawn on a guy on the ground. I think he had tried to steal something and wouldn't stop when they told him to. They cuffed him and off he went. What a morning!

After that, we went shopping and headed home. Even though we never got to do our show, it was still fun and I'm sure it will be hard to top this Pride.

By the way . . .

I've been a bad blogger lately. I haven't been keeping up with my blog like I should. Sorry.

Columbus Pride

We arrived around 1 p.m. We have been smoking in a non-smoking room and got in trouble for it. Apparently the whole hotel is non-smoking . . . who knew?? So who knows what will happen later on tonight. We have to play at Club 202 tonight and then we can have lot's o' fun afterward. Whoo hoo! We'll probably come back to the room (the non-smoking room) and go to sleep. Shopping tomorrow and we head for home.

Technology weekend

Whoo hoo! I am watching cable and playing with technology (high speed internet) and it is nice. Thanks Amy and Gloria for letting us come over and keep your cat company!

Big pool party as well this weekend at the cribs house in J-town! Rhonda and Ruby are watching Julie's crib this weekend so we are gonna be over there later on this weekend swimming. I will most definately get a sunburn. It doesn't matter how much sunblock I put on, I will get a sunburn. So goes the price for having bright white skin. I also don't really care too much about tanning - don't want to be a leather bag when I get older.

So I talked to a few people who have some good high school pics so when I get them, I will be posting some new ones. I have a few I could put up of myself but I don't want to do that. I just want to embarrass everyone else. Heh heh.

So that is all for now! Sees youse guys later.

There it is . . .

A condensed version of the roadtrip. I took almost 200 pics but thanks to my digital camera I didn't have to develop anything. A few of the pics got mixed up but I am sure you can make sense of them all. You're smart.

RBR Records

Here it is on the corner of Delaware.

Hello Ani!

We found the new home of Righteous Babe Records! I, along with Kelly, became weak in the knees. It was right down the street from our hotel.

I love strip malls

Lydia's (where we played in Akron). Good thing it was next to a check cashing place so I could get some money to get my nails done!
